ECONOMY
HOW IS THE
PORTOCAPITALIAN ECONOMY?
Porto Capital
has a free market economy, although there is a
heavy governmental control over it, to avoid any major
problems due to external crisis. Our economy is based both on
agriculture and industry, the major companies being owned by the
government, although the services sector has been widely increased in
the past few months.
CURRENCY
The Portocapitalian currency
is the Sila (§), with it's value fixed to the Cruisanan Crown as §1 =
ChC$ 1,33. Pictures of the Silas bills are below. Both
sides of the bills are the same.
AGRICULTURE
Our agriculture is based
mostly on the many government-sponsored kibutzim-like farms, owned by a certain
number of families, with all the community helping on the farming
jobs. Our main agricultural products are Rice, Wheat, Coffee, Bean,
Soy, Corn. Cattle is also an important activity, mostly on the Oran
and Bay Plains.
INDUSTRY
Our industry is not much
developed, but it is more than enough for our current needs. It is based
largely on the oil, chemical, mining and steel companies.
SERVICES
In the past few months, the
service sector has been largely developed, with the creation of
uncountable companies, offering every single kind of service, from the
media sector to shipping lines.
